March 9, 2023. Ecovalia, the Spanish professional association of organic production, and Agrobio, Associação Portuguesa de Agricultura Biológica, finalize the launch of a promotional campaign for organic products, the first of its kind to be implemented in Spain and Portugal by private entities in the sector.
The president of Ecovalia, Alvaro Barrera, says that this campaign “is the first to be executed of these characteristics in Spain by a private entity in the sector. From Ecovalia, the Spanish professional association of organic production, we do our part. We understood that its implementation is necessary to bring citizens closer to this production system, promote the consumption of these products and knowledge of the Euroleaf. We are convinced that this campaign will help to give more visibility to the important work done by the sector of organic production in Spain, one of the major producing powers in Europe.
For his part, the president of Agrobio, Jaime Manuel Carvalho Ferreira says that “This is a promotion and information campaign for organic products, focused on the European logo of Organic Agriculture. Of special scope and importance, it involves consumers, markets, school canteens, farmers, companies and public and private organizations. It will make known the best that is produced in Portugal, in the context of organic agriculture and production”.
AGROBIO – Portuguese Association of Organic Agriculture, as a partner and promoter, is the pioneer organization at national level of organic agriculture in Portugal.
The campaign, which will be executed by Ecovalia and Agrobio, has received a total of 1.5 million euros for the implementation of various promotional activities, which will be carried out during 2023 and 2024 with funding from the European Research Executive Agency of the European Union, included in the campaigns ‘Enjoy, it’s from Europe’, which put and increase the visibility of European agri-food products.
